    Tired of playing board games at home? Tired of playing board games with your parents? Join us after school and hang out with friends while learning new games, strategies and wisdom with the Bethlehem Public Library’s own Alex Desourdy. 

    Instructor: Alex Desourdy is a Librarian at Bethlehem Public Library who has more than 20 years'  experience in Libraries. He has taught a variety of programs at the library and previous Hamagrael Enrichment classes.

In this laid-back and inspiring class, you’ll get the chance to explore different art techniques, use colorful materials, and discover your creative potential in a relaxed, friendly group.     Instructor: This class is taught by Hamagrael’s very own 4th grade teacher Nicole Canning.  Ms. Canning loves to teach students and also loves to do arts and crafts during her free time.

    Delve into a whole new world with books! Mrs. Hafener will guide kids through a chapter book over the course of the 5 weeks doing a craft or activity to culminate each session. A copy of the chosen book, Ways to Make Sunshine by Renee Watson, will be provided for each child.

    Instructor: This course is taught by Hamagrael’s very own librarian, Cailie Hafener!  Cailie Hafener is the librarian at Hamagrael Elementary. She has been a school librarian in NY since 2014 and loves to help students experience the library as a place for joyful learning, exploration, and creativity. She likes to integrate literacy, technology, and art in her lessons and loves to learn new things.

    Broadway Bound is an introduction to acting and theater where students will learn the basics of acting, singing, and dancing as they apply to musical theater. Each class will consist of warm-ups, technique exercises and games. The session will conclude with a short performance for parents, families, and friends!  

    PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE A PERFORMANCE ON THE LAST DAY OF CLASS, DURING THE LAST 15 MINUTES OF CLASS, ON WEDNESDAY 4/15 AT 4:10 PM.

    Get ready to stretch your brain and boost your problem-solving power! In this exciting afterschool program, 4th and 5th grade students will explore creative and challenging math problems from the Math Olympiad curriculum. Whether you're already a math lover or just curious to try something new, this class will help you build confidence and develop new strategies for tackling fun and tricky problems. Through teamwork, games, and hands-on activities, students will learn how to think like mathematicians—and have fun doing it!

    Instructor: This student-led program will be taught by members of the BCHS Math Honor Society, made up of high-achieving high school students who love math and want to inspire younger learners. These students are passionate problem-solvers who will guide participants step-by-step through engaging lessons and brain teasers. The program will be overseen by Jessica Hallock, a Hamagrael mom and BCHS math teacher. Proceeds will go toward supporting student academic enrichment opportunities

    Spark your child’s imagination with Super Steve: A Junior Minecraft Coding Lab! Invest in their future by nurturing logic, computational thinking, and digital creativity this semester. Our specially designed course is perfect for young STEM enthusiasts in grades 1 and 2.

    Using the boundless creativity of Minecraft as a launchpad, students explore fundamental coding concepts like sequencing ○ logic ○ cause & effect ○ patterns through visually engaging activities designed for early readers. To bring these ideas to life, we introduce our youngest makers to the magic of modding. Your child will use kid-friendly block coding to engineer their own "Super Steve" powers—like super jumps and ice trails—turning their favorite game into a playground for learning.

    Designed for inventive students in grades 3 through 5, this course transforms the Minecraft world they love into a laboratory for learning code. Students will dive into the fundamentals of game modding, moving beyond simple gameplay to actually rewriting the rules of the Minecraft universe. Using block-based coding, young programmers will engineer their own "Super Steve" mods, exploring essential computer science concepts like algorithms, events, and logic to create super speed, weather control, and custom abilities. The journey moves from playing the game to programming it, culminating in a custom superhero mod that they design, code, and test themselves. This hands-on experience empowers young makers to see themselves not just as gamers, but as creators.

Daysia brings valuable insights from her Environmental Studies Degree at SUNY, enhancing the STEAMWHIZ curriculum and enriching the learning experiences of our students.     5 weeks of Volleyball instruction with college Volleyball players coaching kids! They will learn to pass, set, spike and serve! Little Spikers Beginner Volleyball is a fantastic introductory program tailored for budding young athletes. This clinic offers a fun and nurturing environment where kids can learn the basics of volleyball while developing essential physical and teamwork skills. Our experienced coaches focus on teaching fundamental volleyball techniques, including serving, passing, and basic ball-handling. It provides an excellent opportunity for them to explore the game, develop physical coordination, and begin to understand the importance of teamwork. Join us for a delightful and educational experience that introduces your child to the exciting world of volleyball, all while fostering a love for physical activity and sportsmanship.

    Instructor: Rosilyn Cummings is currently Russell Sage Women’s Volleyball Head Coach. She has extensive coaching experience having served as the assistant coach of the Icelandic Men's National Team in 2017. She also served as the head coach of the Stjarnan Men's Volleyball Club in Iceland for two seasons in 2016-2017, where she was named Coach of the Year. She has also served as the program director for the Volleyball Academy of America and is currently a lead coach for the Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Camp. Among her many other  accomplishments, she was the director of the IREVA Professional Volleyball League.

    This class is a fun introduction to the world of yoga and will include learning about the history and benefits of yoga, mindfulness and meditation, yoga poses and games and so much more. Each session will include learning new poses, mindfulness exercises, playful yoga games and other activities to engage your child. Each child will receive a complimentary yoga mat to take home at the end of Spring Enrichment.

    Instructor: This course is taught by Kiera and she has been on the team from The Hot Yoga Spot for a long time. As with all instructors at The Hot Yoga Spot, she is fully certified with a 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Certificate.
